ADRIAN LEWIS 9 - 6 DENIS OVENS
ADRIAN LEWIS' charge towards the World Series of Darts title continued with an impressive 9-6 win over Denis Ovens.

Lewis has already defeated world number one Colin Lloyd at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut, and booked a place in the semi-finals by taking out Ovens.

The game was tight throughout, with the scores locked at six-all after 12 legs.

Lewis hit finishes of 120, 84 and 74, while Ovens - who led 5-4 at one stage - matched the 21-year-old dart for dart.

Ovens stepped in to win the 11th leg and put himself 6-5 up, but Lewis found a second wind to reel off four straight legs.

He landed a maximum in the 12th before taking out a 75 finish when Ovens missed two darts at double 16 in the next.

Lewis put himself within one leg of the match by landing double top to go 8-6 up, and a superb 108 checkout - hitting the single, treble and double 18 - sealed the win.

PETER MANLEY 7 - 9 DENNIS PRIESTLEY
DENNIS PRIESTLEY produced a superb comeback from 5-2 down to win a place in the semi-finals of the World Series of Darts with a 9-7 defeat of Peter Manley.

The double World Champion looked on course to exit the tournament at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut when he slipped behind against Manley.

The Carlisle-based star produced some clinical finishing in opening up an early lead, breaking Priestley's throw in the fourth leg and again in the sixth as he took command.

Priestley kick-started his game in the eighth leg, landing a maximum before punishing missed doubles from his opponent to start his fightback.

The Yorkshireman took the next four legs either side of the break to suddenly put himself in front for the first time in the game at 6-5.

Manley hit back with double ten to level the game after Priestley missed his doubles, although the veteran regained his cushion with a fine 124 checkout - ending on the bull - in the 13th leg.

He again missed his doubles in the next leg, allowing Manley to land double top to square the game once more.

The 15th leg saw Manley wayward at the finish, with Priestley hitting double top to move 8-7 up and repeating the trick in the next leg to seal the win.

PHIL TAYLOR 9 - 6 MARK DUDBRIDGE
PHIL TAYLOR overcame the challenge of Mark Dudbridge to book his place in the semi-finals of the World Series of Darts with a 9-6 victory.

The 13-times World Champion had his biggest challenge yet from a resurgent Dudbridge, who fought back from 7-3 down to turn up the heat on Taylor.

In a ding-dong opening session, Dudbridge came from 2-1 down - after Taylor landed a 12-dart leg - to lead 3-2 with finishes of 126 and 64.

Taylor took the next five legs without reply, including finishes of 73, 99 and 88, to move 7-3 up.

That sparked a revival from the young Bristolian, who landed double top to win the 11th leg and hit 180s in the next two as he cut the lead to just one leg.

But Taylor won the 14th leg to stop the challenge, and wrapped up the win in style with a 12-darter.

WAYNE MARDLE 6 - 9 RONNIE BAXTER
RONNIE BAXTER withstood a comeback from Wayne Mardle to move into the semi-finals of the World Series of Darts with a 9-6 victory.

The world number three looked on course for an easy triumph when he took a 7-1 lead at the break.

But Mardle returned to the stage a different player, winning the next four legs to put himself back in contention before Baxter pulled away to seal the win.

Baxter took the opening leg with double five to capitalise on missed doubles from Mardle, and landed two 180s in the second as he went 2-0 up.

Mardle got off the mark by winning the third, but he could do little as Baxter reeled off five legs in a row, including a fine two-dart 97 checkout.

Mardle won the ninth leg with double top before taking out 156 in the tenth.

Riding the tidal wave of support, Mardle took the next two to pull back to 7-5, but missed four darts in the 13th leg to allow Baxter to edge clear.

Baxter missed one dart for the match in the next leg, with Mardle taking out double six, but the roles were reversed in the next when Mardle failed to land the bull for a 121 finish, with Baxter's double 18 sealing the win.
