RESULTS and reports from the semi-finals of the World Series of Darts at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut.
World Series of Darts Semi-Finals Adrian Lewis 11 - 1 Dennis Priestley Phil Taylor 11 - 5 Ronnie Baxter
ADRIAN LEWIS 11 - 1 DENNIS PRIESTLEY ADRIAN LEWIS stormed into the World Series of Darts final with an 11-1 demolition of Dennis Priestley at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connec
ticut.
The 21-year-old was in arguably his best ever form, averaging over 100 for most of the game to leave the two-time World Champion reeling.
Priestley took just one leg in the match - the fourth - and could do little to stop the emerging star's progress, joining Colin Lloyd and Denis Ovens in losing to Lewis.
Lewis won the opening leg with a 93 finish, and took the next two in 11 and 12 darts respectively - kicking off with six perfect darts in the second leg of the match and adding a further maximum in the third.
He also began the fourth leg with a 180, but Priestley managed to land double eight to get off the mark.
Lewis clinically finished the next two legs to move 5-1 up, and hit a fourth maximum in the seventh leg, which he won in 14 darts.
He added three more legs without reply to move into the break 9-1 up - averaging almost 104 and checking out 58% of his doubles.
Although that dipped to 98.72 over the next two legs, he was on hand to punish Priestley for missed doubles in completing an overwhelming triumph to reach his first major televised final.

PHIL TAYLOR 11 - 6 RONNIE BAXTER PHIL TAYLOR produced another super-show to book his place in the final of the World Series of Darts with an 11-5 win over Ronnie Baxter.
Taylor will meet his protege Adrian Lewis in the final at the Mohegan Sun Casino, playing for the $100,000 winner's cheque.
He overcame world number three Baxter in apparent style, but the final scoreline failed to reflect the early tight nature of the contest.
Baxter was level at four legs apiece with Taylor until the 13-time World Champion won seven out of the next eight legs to seal the win.
Taylor hit a maximum on his way to winning the opening leg, and also landed a 180 in the next, which Baxter went on to win with double top.
Taylor won the third in brilliant fashion, hitting an outer bull and two bullseyes for a 125 finish to bring the American crowd to its feet.
He moved 3-1 up by taking out double 12 in the next leg, before Baxter hit back with finishes of 69 and 65 to level the game.
Taylor took out double eight to win the seventh leg, only to see Baxter punish his missed doubles in the next as he squared matters once more.
That proved to be a catalyst for Taylor, who landed maximums in the next two legs and also took the 11th to go 7-4 up.
Baxter threatened a comeback by checking out 90 with a bull finish, but it was to be short-lived.
Taylor won the next four legs without reply, completing the win with a 160 checkout.
