World Series of Darts Official Round One Draw PDC / Bull’s-Eye News Official Event Report April 27, 2006
THE draw for Round One of the World Series of Darts has been made, producing some intriguing battles as the challenge for an American player to win $1 million begins.
The World Series of Darts will take place from 19-21 May at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut.
Friday 19 May will see the final four players win a place in the main tournament in the Friday Night Madness event.
They will join 12 other American Qualifiers in the main event on Saturday morning, when the first round pits the US players against the 16 PDC stars.
American number one John Kuczynski will face Canadian two-time World Champion John Part.
Ray Carver, who reached the second round of the 2006 Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship, will meet world number five Peter Manley.
As an added incentive to the players involved in Friday Night Madness, one of the four qualifiers will come up against 13-times World Champion Phil Taylor.
Current world number one Colin Lloyd will face Isen Veljic.
The draw was made by Colin Lloyd and Phil Taylor, along with PDC Tournament Director Tommy Cox.
