World Series of Darts: FAQ

Are there fees to play?
Q: Is there a fee to compete in the Regional Qualifiers or Friday Night Madness events?

There are no entry fees —whatsoever— for any of the twelve Regional Qualifiers. Any U.S. citizen over the age of 21 may register and participate in up to three (3) of these events “free of charge.”

The Friday Night Madness event, however, does have an entry fee of $50 (on-site), or $40 (pre-registered). This entry fee also includes access to the closed-circuit TV lounge outside the main hall for both days of main event competition. (While unconfirmed, rumor also has it that, should seats come open in the main event hall, some players from the closed-circuit lounge may be granted limited access to the main event arena —thereby ensuring a full-capacity crowd for all matches.)

Pre-registration for the Friday Night Madness is now available online here at the Bull’s-Eye News web site and will be officially closed on May 15, 2006.

Please note:
At the present time interest in the Friday Night Madness event is incredibly high, with a growing potential for the attendance to perhaps far exceed original forecasts.

What does this mean to you?  Simply this... While no maximum player capacities have been yet established for the Friday night event, there is at least an outside chance that so many people will pre-register in advance for the Friday Night Madness competition that limited or no capacity may then be left available for onsite registrations that day. Suffice it to say, we’ll be keeping our readers informed as the date approaches and this situation evolves.

Bottom line: If you already know that you’re going to attend the Friday Night Madness event at the Mohegan Sun, lock in your spot as soon as you can —pre-register!
