Sun, Surf & Darts

Eric Bristow and Cliff Lazarenko will be jetting out to Barbados in November 2002 to host The Barbados Masters. They are inviting you to join them to take part in the inaugural event which combines darts with double measures of sun and fun.

Photo: Eric BristowRunning from November 22 to December 2 in conjunction with the Barbados Tourism Authority and the PDC, the Barbados Masters provides a chance for darts players over 35 of all abilities, to combine a week of arrows with some winter sun on one of the world's most beautiful islands.

Sun Living, who are fully bonded with the Civil Aviation Authority (ATOL 3222) and are ABTA members (VO813), have over 20 years experience of organizing sporting tours to the Caribbean. The 10 night trip includes coaching clinics, individual and team competitions and culminates in the Independence Weekend Barbados Masters.

Darts players from the UK, USA, Canada, South America, Europe, plus the Caribbean and Barbados are expected to take part and this gives you a chance to pit your skills against an International field and meet new friends in darts.

The ten-day extravaganza begins with welcome matches against teams from UK, Barbados, Europe, USA and the Rest of the Caribbean with Eric and Cliff acting as captains who will grade all players ahead of the Masters (see below for provisional itinerary).

In addition to the darts, the trip allows for free time to take in all the delights of Barbados, from the stunning beaches to the varied night life.

The Barbados Masters Darts takes place from November 22 to December 2, 2002.

Photo: Cliff LazarenkoThe 10 night trip takes in two weekends and prices for US and Canadian residents start from £485 per person – two people sharing a twin/double room.  This price includes 10 nights accommodations, all entry fees, all coaching clinics with Eric Bristow and Cliff Lazarenko, and all transportation to the dart venues.

Parties from the US and Canada need to make their own travel arrangements to Barbados and both American Airlines and the British West Indies Airlines have regular flights. Folks will need to arrive in Barbados by the afternoon of Friday, November 22, 2002. The tournament concludes on Sunday evening, December 1.  Return flights should be booked starting on Monday, December 2. All accommodations must be booked at one of the designated tournament hotels through Richard Webster at Tour Operator, Sun Living at 01623 795365 or through Michael Heal at 01372 464666.
