Prize Fund
This tournament has a prize fund of £19,600, / $38,480 split as follows:
Winner - £5,000 / $9,840
Runner-Up - £2,500 / $4,920
Semi-Finalists - £1,250 / $2,460
Quarter-Finalists - £600 / $1,180
Last 16 - £300 / $590
Last 32 - £150 / $295
Last 64 - £75 / $145
Any player who achieves a nine dart finish during the event will receive £3,200.
If more than one player achieves this, the amount will be pro-rata between the number of players achieving the nine dart finish.
Playing Format
The format is best of five sets, three legs per set throughout.
The event will have 32 seeds which will be determined at the closing date for the
competition.
The player on the left of the draw will throw first for the bull to determine who
throws first in odd-numbered sets. Only the final will be played on stage.
Draw
The draw will be made on Aug 17 by the PDC’s Tournament Director Tommy Cox in the presence of a PDPA
representative and published at www.planetdarts.tv.
The top 32 ranked players in the PDC Order of Merit at the closing date of
entries for that tournament will be seeded with the exception that the defending Champion of the event from 2007 will be seeded number one.
The seedings are as follows:
TOP HALF: 1-32-16-17-8-25-9-24-5-28-12-21-4-29-13-20
BOTTOM HALF: 2-31-15-18-7-26-10-23-6-27-11-22-3-30-14-19
Rules & Dress Code
Darts Regulation Authority rules and regulations will be in place for these tournaments, including dress
code of: no jeans, trainers, t-shirts or shorts etc. Players are required to wear dark trousers, collared shirts and black shoes.
Smoking & Drinking
Players are not permitted to smoke, or drink anything but water during play. This includes having a drink
from the table behind you whilst your opponent is throwing or between legs or sets. This rule must be strictly observed.
