Compumatic sponsors the 8th annual Electronic Dart Championship in Lloret de Mar, Spain, with over 250 participants from more than 12 countries. For the first time ever, Serbia and Montenegro wins the premium prize.
 Mensur Suljevic, from Serbia and
Montenegro, took the 8,000 Euros prize for the top position in the most important event of the competition, the Mens 501 Singles. The competition was
difficult this year and the Spanish team proved to be very strong.
The Championship was held in the 4-star Monterrey hotel in the
beach town of Lloret de Mar, near Barcelona. Over 250 players from countries as far away as Latvia joined in a friendly competition that gave away 30,000
Euros in cash prizes.
The winning teams this year were Spain in the masculine category and the
women from Hungary took first place in the Country Selections finals.
Over 80 trophies were given out at the awards ceremony. It was a lively event
with a live band and players enjoyed mingling among themselves and dancing to the beat of the music.
“The Championship was a success,” said Mr. Quetglas. “Every year we are grateful
to the players and the Soft Dart World Federation for helping us organize such a professional championship.”
