While the 2005 Las Vegas Desert Classic IV details have not yet been finalized, preparations
are taking place now to continue this great event into the future. The PDC introduced Wild Cards to the 2004 Las Vegas Desert Classic which generated
tremedous interest among players all across North America.
In the US last year, three American Wild Cards were determined using the BEN Pro Ranking
System for the Men’s Singles 501 at 10 tournaments held in the US between January 1 and April 25, 2004. The top three American men point earners, who had
not already received invites, received invitations to play in the Las Vegas Desert Classic III as one of the 32 finalists.
With the excitement and success of the 2004 Wild Card program in the US, the PDC Board of
Directors has decided to continue the program with the 2005 Las Vegas Desert Classic IV and expand the number of tournaments that players can earn BEN Pro
Ranking Points at for the 3 Wild Card spots to 20 tournaments. Now, the Wild Card program for 2005 includes tournaments in late summer and the fall dart
seasons giving those tournaments added attaction.
The tournaments to be included in the 2005 US Wild Card Race for the PDC Las Vegas Desert
Classic IV are shown below:

The following table documents the number of points earned for finishes in the Men’s Singles
501 at any of the 20 selected tournaments used to determine the American Wild Cards for the Las Vegas Desert Classic IV.
The top American men earning the most BEN Pro Ranking Points as allocated and accumulated from all 20 of the selected tournaments listed above will be awarded a place in the final 32 players to compete on stage in Las Vegas. Ties will be broken by the most recent record of points earned by those players who are tied. The American men earning Wild Cards must be citizens of the US or residents of the US holding valid green cards.

These guidelines were established for BEN Pro Ranking. Points are awarded
to the top 32 in each singles event or to the last money round position, whichever comes first.
