First, the PDC has raised the prize money for the Las Vegas Desert Classic III to $180,000
(based on £100,000) without increasing entry fees.
It will be held at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on June 28-July 4, 2004. Rooms at the MGM Grand are available at a darters rate of $79.00 per night, plus taxes, and the reservation number and code to use when making reservations are 800.929.9411, DAR006. The tournament will again be televised, live, to the world.
Second, the PDC has approved a promotion to encourage players and spectators to
come from within the same association to route their fellow players along.
For every 3 paid men or 3 paid women, a 4th man or 4th women, respectively, may register at no charge. All 4 men or all 4 women must play in the same dart association within the same city to be eligible for this promotion. (Example: If three couples from the same dart association enter, a 4th couple from that association may enter at no cost.)
