FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
March 17, 2004
The AMOA National Dart Association (NDA) is gearing up for what promises to be the most
exciting Team Dart International Dart Tournament the association has ever seen.
The NDA’s 19th annual tournament, which runs from April 23-May 1, 2004 at the Riviera Hotel
and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, boasts $425,000 in prize money for all levels of play.
Beginning April 1, players will have the opportunity to verify which events they will
compete in via the NDA Web site (www.ndadarts.com ). This new
Web feature will provide players confirmation of their Team Dart entries.
Players can get a competitive edge by attending the new Players’ Meeting on
Friday night before the start of blind draws. The meeting is a great place to learn about new rules, events and tournament expectations.
New steps have also been taken to speed play of singles and doubles. These
steps include floor plan changes, new policies to ensure start times, additional boards and manual chart completion to allow tournament staff to
react quickly after the completion of matches.
Testing for the NDA’s new KNOW THE RULES program will be offered on
Tuesday afternoon. Players are encouraged to take the test, which demonstrates their knowledge of the game, as well as makes them a KNOW
THE RULES Top Flite Member of the NDA.
These are just a few changes the NDA has made for the 2004 international
tournament in order to continue a high level of player satisfaction and tournament success.
Another exciting addition to Team Dart XIX is the Saturday night theme party.
This year’s theme is Pacific Paradise Party. NDA-sanctioned players can enjoy food, drinks and music in island style.
To date, the NDA has received over 15,000 game entrants from 170 operators
in five countries. With interest in electronic darting escalating at a record rate,
operators and players alike seem excited to return for the largest soft-tip dart competition in the world.
Team Dart is an international, skill-classified tournament that provides a fun
and competitive opportunity for NDA-sanctioned players of all skill levels.
