The Road To Vegas! In the last issue, the PDC announced that four Wild Card places will be available to competitors from North America for the 2004 Championship (Jan/Feb BEN Volume XXIV Issue 1 or www.bullseyenews.com). Details and entry forms for the 2004 Las Vegas Desert Classic III can be found elsewhere in this issue.
It was announced that the three American Wild Cards would be determined using the BEN Pro Ranking System for the Men’s Singles 501 at the following ten tournaments held in the US between January 1 and April 25, 2004. The top three
American
men point earners, who have not already received an invite, will receive invitations to play in the Las Vegas Desert Classic III as one of the 32 finalists.

The following table documents the number of points earned for finishes in the Men’s Singles
501 at any of the ten selected tournaments used to determine the three American Wild Cards for the Las Vegas Desert Classic III. The top three American
men earning the most BEN Pro Ranking Points as allocated and accumulated from all ten of the selected tournaments listed above will be awarded a place in the
final 32 players to compete on stage in Las Vegas.

These guidelines were established for BEN Pro Ranking. Points are awarded to the top 32 in 501 singles or to the last money round position, whichever comes first.
Six of the 10 tournaments have been completed at press time of this issue.
The following are the current standings for the American men in the running for the PDC Wild Card spots.
The Canadian Wild Card will be determined according to the National Dart
Federation of Canada (NDFC) ranking system. The top male as of May 1, 2004, who has not already received an invite, will receive an invitation to be
one of the top 32 finalist of the 501 Men’s Singles at the Las Vegas Desert Classic III this July.
