• In the March/April 2003 of BEN, Volume XXIII – Issue II, the photo of Buddy Lessic and Scott Agnoli appearing on page 45 was miss captioned. Lessic and Agnoli defeated John Kuczynski and Tom Curtin in the 501 Men’s Doubles final to win the title. The caption under the photo incorrectly identified Jim Watkins and Frank Neal, winners of the Draw Doubles Cricket. We apologize for the error.
• In our coverage of the Stan James World Matchplay in the Nov/Dec 2003, Volume XXIII –
Issue 6, Randy Umstead pointed out that the points we reported that Wayne Hawaii 501 Mardle had remaining in the 13th leg of the final against Phil The Power
Taylor, 141, must have been incorrect. Mardle’s brilliant finish of T20, T17, D18 would have been a bust had he not in fact had 147 to do.
It was, however, described as a “magical” finish. Thanks Randy for keeping us on our toes.
• The Chattanooga Choo Choo Classic results listed in the Jan/Feb 2004 issue, Volume XXIV –
Issue 1, should have reported that it was a $15,000 tournament instead of a $10,000 tournament. The correct figure of $15,000 is listed on-line at
www.bullseyenews.com under Tournament Results. We apologize to the Greater Chattanooga Darting Association for the error.
• The cover of Volume XXIV – Issue 1 should have the months as Jan/Feb not Nov/Dec of 2004.
That could make things really confusing if one is trying to keep the issues in order. Fortunately, every page inside the magazine has it listed correctly as the Jan/Feb 2004 issue.
