Las Vegas Desert Classic III - Bigger & Better Than Ever!

Photo: LVDC StageEntries are now being taken for the Las Vegas Desert Classic III – with a guaranteed prize fund of £100,000.

The PDC returns to the MGM Grand between 28th June – 4th July 2004 for the third tournament to be held in the Gambling Capital of the World – live on Sky Sports.

The competition which began in 2002 has seen some of the most exciting darts played on the North American continent, producing four winners (Phil Taylor, Deta Hedman, Peter Manley and Stacy Bromberg) and broadening the appeal of the sport Stateside with live broadcasts not only on Sky Sports but also Fox Sports World.

As the PDC continues to innovate and expand the professional game in North America, it is no surprise that the 2004 Las Vegas Desert Classic will be a bigger and better event than ever.

This year’s tournament sees the field of players for the televised stage increase to 32.

The Top 12 in the PDC rankings will qualify by right; three places will go to US based players via a points system and one to the number one ranked Canadian player. (Click here for more details)

Sixteen places will be left for players to qualify via the play-offs – giving all entrants four chances to make the TV Finals.

As in previous year’s a Ladies Singles event will run along side the Men’s providing a platform for all darts players to compete on the biggest stage.

On top of that the prize fund has increased to £100,000 – that’s $180,000*!

Despite the increase in prize funds the entry fee for both Men’s and Ladies competitors will remain the same, and there will be Cricket competitions immediately following the TV Finals on the 4th July – what better way to celebrate Independence Day than with a bumper day of darts?

Entry fees are all inclusive and guarantee every player four chances to qualify plus Men's and Ladies cricket competitions.

Men:   £95 or $150
Ladies:    £30 or $50

Entry deadline is 11th June 2004 (12noon UK time; 8PM EST). Absolutely no entries will be taken after this date.
