Remembering Bill Snary
 

 

William M. Snary, 77, died Saturday, April 30, 2005.

Better known in the darting community as Bill, he was born in Chicago, IL, and moved to The Villages from Charlotte, NC, in 1993. He was a singer and entertainer who appeared on the Lawrence Welk Show, the Steve Allen Show, and a regular on the Bob Trenler radio show.

Bill appeared in Las Vegas, had many small roles in movies, and did voice over tag lines for VNN.  He was a writer for Bull’s-Eye News and did cover stories for Brian Dougherty and Don Carrico among his many contributions to the magazine.  Bill was a US Army veteran and an avid golfer and enjoyed playing darts.

Survivors include his wife, Joyco Dion, his sons, Mitchell Snary of Los Angeles, CA, and Len Carey of Dana Point, CA, and his daughter, Debi Pierson of San Diego, CA.
