Dear BEN,
Did I miss something ?
Where was Dartoid’s World in the March/April edition? I really missed this article. I know it can be read online, but it’s just not the same as in print when you’re in your favorite place (ha, ha) and you want to read a good article. It’s the only way to bring darts into the little wranglers room. It’s too small to put up a board and too hard to shoot sitting down. Besides, my aim has never been that good in the bathroom anyway. And, my wife won’t let me put a computer in there either!
Just a little dart humor. Use it if you like send free shirt (ha, ha), but don’t forget where it came
from!
Anyway, thanks for a great magazine. It’s my first year subscription and I signed for 3 years. I will
resign again too!
Can you guys help us get more darts on TV in Canada? I’d even like to see old matches of Bristow and
Jockey or something...anything! Live would be nice like Sky Sports !
By the way, I think you guys should do an article on someone in Eastern Canada like say...Nova Scotia!
We have an interesting man here in Port Hawkesbury who is 70 years old. He still runs 3 leagues a week (and steak darts) as well as tournaments and is also very competitive with us young folks. He has a military background and has played during the war against the Brits and others. He has alot of stories to tell. He’s a great ambassador of the game. He never gets enough recognition.
I’m sure we will get to meet you at the Canadian Nationals in Halifax, NS in 2006. I’m looking forward
to it. We have some great players and great people (and some of the players are great people too...sorry, out comes my humorous side again.) Get your sleep before you come
because there will be some long nights. We love to party! Unfortunately, I didn’t make the NS provincial team this year, but there’s always next year and I hope to succeed
some day.
I’ve been in the game for only 3 years and I am hooked. I practice 1-2 hours a day and am steadily
improving. Our team finished 1st in our mixed league this year and I finished 3rd in our men’s singles league.
So, if you’re ever in Port Hawkesbury (Cape Breton), NS, look me up and drop in for a cold one and some
501 on my new Eclipse dartboard (love it, awesome board).
Thanks again for listening, if you’ve read this far without deleting that is!, and keep up the good work.

—Ed: Sorry about not having Dartoid’s World in the Mar/Apr 2005 issue, but we don’t have room for everything. We doubled your pleasure in the May/Jun and Jul/Aug issues to more than make up for it.
We hope to make the Nationals in NS in 2006.
So, keep a cold one (or two) ready for us when we arrive. (It’s a bit of a drive!)
