Dear BEN,
First may I congratulate you on your website and the articles you have on it, and also for a great
magazine. Where would our sport be without it?
It is always full of facts and in a very simple format that makes it easy to read by darts
players. I do not play much darts myself, but love and enjoy the thrills of attending munerous darts competitions across the states.
In this respect, I am fortunate that my job gives me the opportunity of travel and visiting various
tournaments. I would love to be able to play, but despite trying, my darts never ever seem to go in the same direction. So, I just remain a spectator.
In January, I attended the Pennsylvania Rae Chesney Memorial Open, which was exceptionally well run, and
had the opportunity of again seeing some of the top players in action.
At the same tournament, I met for the first time Eddie Norman from the United Kingdom who was also attending the tournament as a spectator. Talking to Eddie on darts is amazing. His knowledge of the sport is second to none. I had read somewhere that he was voted the best ever organizer of darts.
He fascinated me and several other people at the event with snippets and the history of darts that kept
us interested for hours. Eddie apparently visits these shores of ours seven or eight times a year. If you ever catch up with Eddie in the US on his travels
around the darting world, take the opportunity to do an interview for BEN. He would make very interesting reading for your readers and give new insights into
our great sport of darts.
Sincerely and every success with the magazine, —Gary Bonney, Corona, CA
