Dear BEN,
I have now owned two of the Halex BristleTech electronic boards and they are fun. There are still some as yet, and perhaps never, to be solved problems, but I am not complaining. However, I do play many hours of darts, and while I much prefer to throw at the old regulation boards, I also really like the electronic scoring.
What I would like to suggest is Halex developing (and it would be a slam dunk) an electronic scoreboard just like the one produced now (without the board), but the thrower enters his score. If you wanted to get high tech, the scoreboard, mounted near the dartboard, could be remotely controlled.
Sincerely, —Jim Cooper
Ed: Jim, you won’t have to hold your breath for very long to see this come to
reality. Halex will have a manual electronic scoreboard out this year. However, it won’t be the first as DMI Sports, Inc. already has a manual electronic scoreboard on the market.
